Sad day for the Bell's

Our run of dog loving has ended. I blame Doug. No more than 10 minutes after I told him about the dog, she was gone. The owners have decided that they would not be able to get into a situation that would allow them to get her back for a long time, so they found a new home for her.
Sad days for us, but it is for the best. They offered to let us keep her, but it just wouldn't work for us long term right now. We loved the dog, but we didn't have as much time for her as we would like. We don't have a fenced in yard, and she sheds too much to let in the house. So, sadly enough, she is gone.
You all would have loved playing with her. Maybe we'll get a dog again, someday.

This is sad. I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe they will let you come over and play with her every once in a while.

I am not going to call Trevor any more. He never calls me anyway and I just get blamed for things.

Sounds fair to me. Of course you are the oldest boy and therefore might want to consider the ideas of leading by example, turning the other cheek and forgiveness. But if you want to explain why you couldn't be bothered when you reach the pearly gates, your choice.

We may be needing a home for Max one of these days if Dad and I go for an adventure or on a mission. He will need lots of love since he is so spoiled. He's small, doesn't shed but doesn't catch frisbees. Sorry about your dog loss. Love Mom

You nearly lost me, Mom, when you said Max doesn't catch frisbees. But, the fact that he doesn't shed and is a lot of fun anyway may allow us to adopt him temporarily when needed.
